NEWSLETTER FEBRUARY 2005 - COUNCIL

  • The PJCEA Council met on Tuesday 1 February at the home of Ellman Crasnow
  • There was a vote of thanks to Ellman for leading an excellent Tu B’Shevat seder
  • An informal approach to the NHC re joining them for their Purim Party elicited a positive response
  • The Communal Seder was to take place on Sunday, April 24th at Loddon Middle School. Rachel Benjamin officiating
  • Arrangements for High Holy Days: Rosh Hashanah will either be Rachel or members of the congregation; Yom Kippur will either be Rachel or another
  • An application from Sarah Boosey to join the congregation was accepted
  • Full Members, Associate Members and Friends had been asked if they would be happy to receive just email postings of updates to the website.

  • Subscribers, Students and Others continue to receive a hard copy. Students receive email only
  • The Joan Goodman Memorial Lecture: will take place on Saturday June 18th at the Earlham Road Synagogue. The speaker will be Jonathan Freedland. Invitations are to go out in due course, targeting members of the PJC, NHC, CCJ and others
  • Next meeting Tuesday 1 March at the home of Byron Simmonds
