NEWSLETTER FEBRUARY 2005 - SHABBAT FLYER

FRIDAY 25TH FEBRUARY
7.30 PM THE OLD MEETING HOUSE, COLEGATE, NORWICH

The Shabbat service to be held on Friday 25 February is to be taken by Rabbi Rachel Benjamin. The Service will be Service Number One in Siddur Lev Chadash and will include the Special Reading: ‘Quest’ on pp. 238-241. After the service there will be a kiddush, with coffee, tea and cakes to follow

Rabbi Rachel Benjamin writes: ‘There are realms in the heavenly spheres that can only be accessed through song.’ Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Lyady.

One of the suggestions, at our January meeting, which met with an enthusiastic response, was to have some singing sessions together. So, for all those who are interested in joining in, we will be learning/rehearsing songs on Saturday mornings from 10:30–11:00, regardless of whether there is a service or adult education that weekend. The service/adult ed will begin at 11:15 am. I will provide transliterations of the songs that we sing and, wherever possible, the sheet music to go with it.

Do come along – these sessions are sure to enhance our services
