FAIRTRADE FORTNIGHT 2007

The FAIRTRADE Mark on a product means that it is independently certified to internationally agreed Fairtrade standards. It means producer organisations have received a fair and stable price and a social premium that they can invest for the future.

During Fairtrade Fortnight, we have a unique opportunity to help people understand how Fairtrade brings about tangible change for communities struggling against poverty and unfair trade. With thousands of products available, Fairtrade already contributes to improving the lives of around 5 million people across the globe. But that’s not enough - much more change is still needed.

The theme of Fairtrade Fortnight 2007 is Change Today, Choose Fairtrade. It will focus on positive actions to get more people to choose products with the FAIRTRADE Mark, in order to help more people in more countries.

Help people understand what Fairtrade is really all about.

There are now over 2000 Fairtrade product lines currently available. Encourage people to try them.
