The Jewish Chroncle, December 21st, 2007:
NORWICH'S TWO congregations hosted Simon Goldhill, Professor of Greek at Cambridge
University. In his talk, "Why does Jerusalem look the way its does?" he outlined
its replanning in the early 20th century by English town planner Charlie Ashbee. The
lecture, held at Norwich Hebrew Congregation, was attended by 60 people. It was held
in memory of Joan Goodman, a member of both NHC and the Progressive Jewish Community of
East Anglia.
