JUNE 2008 EDITORIAL
Beverly and I had a
lovely time in the States, catching up with family and friends. Being able to take a month
off is definitely one of the perks of being retired. And I have to confess that pleased as
I am to be back in Norwich, I didn't miss it one bit! (The Yom Ha'atzmaut Party
notwithstanding. I understand it was a great success. I only wish I could have been
there.)
Now I am keen to re-connect with everyone at PJC. We had a great April, including a
brilliant communal Passover Seder at Jessopp Road, thanks to Michele Paton and Philip
Lawrence. |

That said, I understand that attendances at services etc
in May were disappointing. Please remember that PJC is a very small congregation. We need
an active membership to remain viable. YOU can make a real difference.
Do try to get along to Pensthorpe for our Mitzvah Day. This promises to be a very
pleasurable day out, especially if the weather is good, and it is a great opportunity to
socialize. Last year we were made unbelievably welcome and this time around promises to be
just as good. Let Sarah Boosey email ed_sarah@lycos.co.uk know if you are coming.
