Members and Friends of PJC are welcome to attend PJC Council meetings in an
"observer" capacity. If you would like to do so then please have a word with any
Council officer before the date of the particular meeting. Very occasionally Council will
want to take an item "below the line", in which case you would be asked to
absent yourself for the duration of that item.

| To work together in a spirit of co-operation and friendship to serve the
membership of the PJCEA by: |

Dealing
with the day to day running of the organisation |

Formulating
policy and considering and implementing strategic plans for short, medium and long-term
development, taking into account the views of all members of the congregation |

Putting
in place a system for looking after the pastoral needs of members of the congregation |

Promoting
the congregation in such a way as to encourage people to join and to enhance its standing
in the wider community |
| with
a view to enhancing the lives, both Jewish and secular, of all members of the
congregation. |
